DHRUBASAN
A great devotee of god,Dhruba used to practice, penance standing in this Asan.Hence this is called dhanurasan.
Steps :
arwStand erect on a carpet or blanket.Keep both the ankles and knees together.
arwKeep the backside of the head,back,buttocks and the heels in a vertical line.
arwBend the left leg at the knee,pull the foot of this leg towards the base of the thigh.
arwJoin the palms and come to the final position.
arwMaintain this position as long as you possibley can.Breathe normally.
Benefits :
arwPerson who practice Dhrubhasan do not remain lazy.
arwThis is a very important Asan for japa.(repetition of the holy name of god).
